Privacy policy: Prozent (iOS)

What the app collects
Nothing. Prozent is a free percentage calculator with no ads and no in-app purchases. There is no sign-up, no user account, no tracking, no advertising identifier, no analytics or crash reporting, and no ad networks or other third-party components. The app makes no network connections and works entirely offline.
What is stored on your iPhone
The numbers you last entered and your settings — tax rate, decimal places, currency symbol, appearance, language and row order — are stored on your device so that everything is as you left it the next time you open the app. We do not transmit this information anywhere and have no access to it.
It stays until you change the values or delete the app; deleting the app removes it. If you back up your iPhone via iCloud or your computer, these settings are included like all app data — iOS handles this according to your settings, not us.
Clipboard and sharing
Tapping a result copies the number to your iPhone's clipboard. Using “Share”, you can pass the calculation to another app of your choice. Both happen only when you explicitly trigger them and are carried out by iOS, not by us. You decide which app receives the information.
Link to Rechnung OS Desktop
The app contains a note about our program Rechnung OS Desktop (formerly Rechnung OS Desktop). Tapping it opens os-factory.de/e-rechnung-os in Safari. The app transmits nothing in doing so. From that point on, the website section of our privacy policy applies.
Permissions
The app requests no permissions. It does not use location data, the camera, photos, contacts or the microphone.
Disclosure to third parties
No data is transferred — neither to us nor to third parties, including countries outside the EU — because the app collects no data.
Legal basis
We do not process any personal data through the app, so no legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR is required. Storing your entries and settings on your device is strictly necessary for the function you use and is therefore permitted without consent under § 25(2) No. 2 of the German TDDDG.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Because the app transmits nothing to us, we hold no data about you from the app. You can change the information on your device at any time or remove it by deleting the app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
Changes
If the app changes, we will update this section and the date above.
Support: Prozent (iOS)
Prozent solves eight percentage calculations on one screen: VAT net and gross, splitting a tip, margin and more — type one number and every result appears instantly. The app is free, has no ads or in-app purchases, and works completely offline.
